About Us/Our Facility High Desert Equine Center is a 40 acre ranch located 30 miles northeast of Reno, Nevada. We are dedicated to the American Bashkir Curly Horse and Curly Missouri Foxtrotter, and strive to achieve the heights of equine breeding. We looked far and wide for stallions that we feel certain will help us accomplish this goal. We currently stand four stallions, all different in build and style, yet all of superior quality in temperament and conformation, as well as way of going. We are constantly seeking outstanding mares and continuously upgrading. We look forward to the challenges the future will bring and only wish to do this breed justice. Our new facility at the corner of Whiskey Springs and Pyramid Hwy is now open! It is a brand new, state of the art facility unlike any other in the North Reno area. We provide upscale horse boarding with climate controlled barns, automatic waters, rubber matting in stalls, as well as rubber paver flooring. We have separate tack and feed rooms, grooming areas and warm water wash racks!! We also have 2 climate controlled indoor arenas, as well as an oversized outdoor arena, all with viewing areas. WE invite all saddle clubs, 4-H clubs and rodeo clubs to consider booking their events at our facility! Get out of the wind, sun and snow!!!
